Veneers

Porcelain veneers are wafer-thin sheets of porcelain that are bonded onto the front side of teeth to change the color or shape of a tooth or teeth. Veneers are routinely used as a way to make cosmetic changes for teeth that are misaligned, worn, discolored or chipped. There is very little tooth preparation involved. When porcelain is bonded to the tooth surface, it closely mimics the color and light characteristics of natural tooth structure and the results are very natural looking.

All Ceramic Crowns

When a crown needs to be placed, we can make them out of pure porcelain, ceramic or aesthetic reinforced resins. These crowns mimic the appearance of other teeth to the point where it is difficult to tell that it is not a natural tooth. It is metal-free, and thus satisfies the needs of patients with metal sensitivities. There are still occasions on the back teeth when the durability of a porcelain fused to metal crown makes it the restoration of choice. An all porcelain crown costs more than a gold or porcelain fused to metal; this cost may exceed your dental insurance plan allotment, so make sure you are familiar with your insurance plan and its coverage.
